PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: To use a pacifier/dummy or to not use a dummy/pacifier? That is the question. It is best to use a pacifier/dummy with caution in the early weeks, especially if your baby is still learning to attach to the breast. Sucking on an artificial teat is completely different for a baby when compared to sucking at the breast. Babies are able to learn to adapt between the different ways of sucking but it's best not to make things more challenging for the little ones who are already having a difficult time attaching correctly to the breast. If a baby is mixed feeding or bottle feeding using  dummy/pacifier can be useful in the early months. Newborns can be very unsettled, when they can only be soothed and comforted by sucking on something. In this case a dummy/pacifier may work. A breastfed baby is more likely to reject a dummy/pacifier but they will often take it if the are rocked and shushed at the same time you offer it. The baby will need to learn how to suck on a pacifier so it takes time and practise. Generally I would recommend using a pacifier more as a last resort ,but if it means your sanity, peace of mind and your baby soothes and sleeps, then use it. Don't buy every pacifier on the market because you will be wasting your money. Keep persevering with this one, if baby is going to take to a dummy it will be this one. They just need practise.

For safety and hygiene reasons, it is recommended that the pacifier should be changed every 4-6 weeks. Because if the pacifier is not changed regularly, the bacteria accumulated on the pacifier will be bad for the baby, and latex is a natural material, and the influence of external factors such as temperature and saliva will also cause the latex pacifier to age
